For many pitchers, an absence of greater than a 12 months between begins would require you to shake off the rust earlier than you begin wanting regular once more.

For the Mets’ ace Jacob deGrom, no rust. He’s a well-oiled machine.

On Saturday in entrance of the biggest paying crowd at Citi Area in 2022, deGrom dominated in his third begin of the season.

Over six innings, the right-hander gave up simply two hits and struck out 10 as he earned his second win of the 12 months within the Mets’ 1-0 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies.
